Annie Jackson Life Story

Annie Lizzie McCauley-Jackson, age 82, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2026 approximately 6:30am

Annie was born on August 9, 1943, in Lutherville, Georgia, to Charlie Dock McCauley and Georgia Lee Williams-McCauley

 

Annie grew up in Lutherville, Georgia where she graduated from Greenville High School. Annie worked as cashier at the train station, waitress and manufacturing where she retired from The Knoll Group of Grand Rapids. 

 

Annie was a christian at an early age (Baptist) 

Annie enjoyed reading, soap operas, knitting, styling wigs, bowling attending concerts and watching NBA games  

Annie was full of smiles, laughter and joy

Annie was known for cooking homemade biscuits, salmon patties, collard green, corn bread, pound cakes and cornbread dressing. Everything she cooked was definitely delicious especially fish and fried chicken. Annie also loved playing bid wid and spades. Annie's favorite color was green but the love for purple nails and lipstick topped it all and she loved wearing bright colors.Annie loved to shop at Macy's Department store, loved her purses, shoes and hats. Annie loved to celebrate you and her birthday and travel.

 

Annie was married to Lester Jackson Jr. for 33 years. She later met Frank Felton in friendship where she enjoyed traveling and eating ribs and fish. Annie was the mother of 2 children Lester (deceased 7/13/2016) and daughter Cynthia Jackson. Annie loved her children. Annie had 2 grandchildren Alonna Finely and grandson Daran Lamar Adams-Jackson Jr. (deceased). Annie had (10) great grandchildren (they called her gg) and (1) great great great granddaughter she called Annie triple (g). Annie was close friends with Lorretta Williams, Patricia Coykendall, Kim Hall, Cynthia Salusberry and Jade Sleet (deceased). 

Annie is preceded in death by her parents Charlie Dock McCauley and Georgia Lee Williams-McCauley

Lester Jackson Jr. (ex-husband), siblings, Della Pearl McCauley, Dock Grady McCauley, Charlie Lee McCauley, Robert Henry McCauley, and Johnny Thomas McCauley

Other loved ones are grandfather Charlie D. McCauley, grandmother Emma Thornton, great grandfather Grady Williams, great grandmother Lillie Williams and host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survived by

(daughter) Cynthia Jackson, (granddaughter) Alonna Finely husband (Jimmy Finely), Alonna children (9) great grands: Tyrece, Tyonna, Zacara, Keonna, Kenny, Camrym, Amelia, Moneilia, E'mari. Great grandson A'hmir (mother Ashleigh Jones). Great Great Great Granddaughter My'Aire.  A host of special nephews, nieces, sister - n - laws, cousins and friends.
