Bobby Lee Kidd transitioned from this earthly home, Tuesday, May
18, 2021. The baby boy of fourteen children, Bobby was born on September 25,
1955 to loving parents, the late Elease Pratt and Sanky Kidd.
Bobby gave his life to Christ at an early age and became a
member of Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church. He attended South High School in
Grand Rapids Michigan. A fan of the Detroit Lions football team, he also loved
to laugh and make others laugh. He was a kind gentle soul. He was a great guy
who loved everyone.
On September 25th, 1983, Bobby met Elva Doughtery. As they
became one, they were inseparable and had two children, Bobby Jr. and Jason.
Bobby was employed at Salvation Army, a job that he loved for 20 years until
retirement.
His memories will be honored and cherished by his ex-wife Elva;
two sons, Bobby Jr. and Jason; his daughter, Jamie Kidd; eight grandchildren
Xavier, Camellia, Elijah, Quentin, Demetrion, Jaylynne, Nevaeh, and Victoria
Kidd; nine siblings, two brothers, Thaddus (Ada) Pratt, Frank (Maxi) Pratt;
seven sisters, Emma Pratt, Louise Wallace, Betty (Floyd) Mathis, Mary Dean,
Theodora Harris, Floria (James) Bates, Rosie (David) Jones. Bobby was
surrounded in love by a host of very special nephews, nieces, friends and
family as well as a special friend, Pecillia; his roommates and all the Hommies
on the block.
He was preceded in
death by his grandparents; mother, Elease Pratt; father, Sanky Kidd; brother
Johnny Pratt, Arthur Kidd, Robert Pratt, and Louis Pratt; Aunt Jennie Bailey;
cousin, Lillie Davis and Johnny Chevis Jr.; nephew, Floyd Mathis Jr. and his
grandson, Javonni Kidd.
Repast will be at 33 Franklin SE at 12 pm on Saturday, May
22, 2021.
