Cole Lemar Bowers was born on December 18, 1976, to the late Deborah Bowers and Kevin Edmonds. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. Cole attended Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, MI, and earned his GED in 1995.
Cole lived most of his life in Michigan, but also experienced life in Florida, Georgia, and Ohio. He loved Prince the musician, the Detroit Lions, and U of M football and basketball teams; enjoyed watching movies; was very fond of hamsters; and when his health permitted, he cherished spending time with family.
On May 1, 2024, Cole made his transition into heaven and joined his mother, Deborah Bowers, and special great-grandmothers, Dora Gill and Edith Maneke.
Cole is survived by his father, Kevin Edmonds; grandmothers Ruby Robinson and Darlene Thompson; aunts Vera Crawford (Carlos Sylvester), Melanie Williams, and Jeanne Vinson; uncle Greg Bowers (Zita); special cousins William “BJ” Davies, Wade Davies, Taia Vinson (aka Buggy to Cole), and Lonair “Nuke” Wilson; dear friend Ms. Pat from Bradenton, FL; and many extended family members and friends.
