Obituary Of Curtis Anthony Barnes

Curtis Anthony Barnes entered this world on June 29, 1986 to Addie Beatrice Reneé Barnes and Tobias Laroy Robertson, Sr. He departed this life on December 12, 2021. Curtis had a ginormous, witty, personality and was a light to everyone he encountered. His education began in Grand Rapids Public Schools but he later attended and graduated from Forest Hills Central High School. His art was very creative, unique, and prominent. Curtis went on to study art design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California where he discovered that he was a great artist and wanted to sell his work. Recently he began curating and selling his artwork and developed a website where his art and clothing could be purchased. Curtis also had an eclectic love of music. If you ever needed a hug, Curtis gave the best, tightest, warmest most loving hugs! His hugs, friendly personality, witty jokes, robust laugh, great conversations, and brilliant smile will all be terribly missed. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother Addie Barnes; Grandfather Dannie Barnes; greatgrandparents, Curtis “Bundy” and Addie Brown; and great-great grandparents William and Addie Tardy. He leaves to cherish his memory siblings; Jamaica & Jeramie Barnes (Grand Rapids, Michigan); Tobias, Tamaira, Tyra, Tynell, William, Terrell, and Tiana Robertson (all of California); nephew and niece Ezayiah Barnes and Charlee Vance; a very special friend Josh Overvoorde; grandmother Beatrice Barnes; grandparents; Loyce and Leroy Robertson, aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles; cousins, and many friends. A very special extended family, the Brick Road Pizza’s employees and guests!
