Dawn Vickers, age 51, passed away on October 16, 2023, in her hometown. She was born on October 28, 1971, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dawn was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Dawn was a caring and devoted individual who cherished her children, grandchildren, and family above all else. She loved her kids, grandkids, and family more than anything in the world. Dawn's memory will be forever treasured by her surviving loved ones, including her Mother Eileen Kochevar, Stepmother Doris Vickers loving wife to Nyalo Vickers Sr. Children Brandon (Katie) Goron and Alexzandra (Bradley) Buiter, Her Grandchildren Archer Goron and Reagan Buiter. She is also survived by her two sisters, Darlene (Adolpho Reyes) Vickers and Debbie (James) Capuano. Dawn leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by her nephews and nieces: Michael (Jillian) Cardosa, Shane (Tasha) Bennor, Nicholas Bennor, Kameron (Kristy) Otten, Dylan Bennor, Elizabeth Otten, and Blake Bennor. Her great niece and nephew Hope Bennor, Kori Cardosa and Nyalo Bennor. Additionally, she was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her soon-to-be-born grandchildren.
Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anton and Irene Kochevar, and Nyalo and Dorothy Vickers. She was also preceded in death by her father, Nyalo Vickers Sr., and her brother-in-law, David Otten.
In her educational pursuits, Dawn attended Catholic Schools for her primary education. She furthered her knowledge and skills by attending a CNA Academy.
Dawn had a successful career as a CNA in the medical field. Which she loved immensely. Later in life she took on a role as business owner at a local tanning salon in which she also thoroughly enjoyed.
Outside of work, Dawn enjoyed various hobbies and activities. She found solace in camping, spending time with animals, dancing, and volunteering. She also had a passion for attending concerts and cherished moments spent with her family and friends.
Dawn Vickers will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and her zest for life. Her impact on those around her will forever be cherished. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
