Emma Lue Pratt-Raby, born on June 16, 1942, in Steens, Mississippi, to Elease and Jab Chester Pratt, passed away peacefully at her home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the age of 83. A proud graduate of Lee High School, Emma dedicated her life to her faith at an early age. She was a devout Christiana true Bible worker, prayer warrior, and prophet of God. Emma's unwavering love for the Lord shone brightly, as she witnessed to everyone she encountered.
Emma is remembered as a nurturing mother, a kind sister, and a devoted friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elease Pratt and Jab Chester Pratt; her stepbrother, Morris; and her brothers: Johnnie Lee Kidd, Arthur James Kidd, Robert Pratt Sr., Louis Pratt, Bobby Lee Kidd, and Thaddus Pratt Sr.
Emma is survived by her cherished family, including five sons: Terrance (Melissa) Pratt, Calvin Pratt, Marvin (Beverly) Rogers, Karl (Donna) Rogers, and Robin Rogers. She also leaves behind six, sisters: Louise Wallace, Betty (Floyd) Mathis, Mary Dean, Theodora Harris, Floria (James) Bates, and Rosie (David) Jones; her brother, Frank Pratt; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends who will forever treasure her memory and her profound love for God. Special love and gratitude are extended to her dear friends at Pinery Park and Georgia Mae Smith, who loved her dearly.
