In remembering a life so beautifully lived, we celebrate every laugh shared, every lesson taught, and every memory made. These are the moments that shape a legacy.
Ida Renee Green, age 60, was born into this life on August 11, 1965, in Montgomery, Alabama, and passed into eternal life on December 20, 2025.
Ida was a devoted mother, a protector, and a true friend. Her strength, loving heart, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those around her. She had a joyful spirit, a beautiful laugh, and a love for life that brought light to others. Ida cherished meaningful relationships, quality time, deep conversations, and making those around her feel loved. She embraced life with passion. She had a genuine soul, who was quick to seek the good in others, and deeply believed in the people she loved.
Ida was preceded in death by her father Samuel Green Sr. She is survived by her children, Nicholas, Devin, Anisha, and Iesha; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her mother, Nellie Green-Nelson; her siblings, Ewendapha Green, Tony Green, Samuel Green, Taramisha (Shane) Johnson, and Yemika Willis; and a host of family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Her spiritual life took flight at Eastern Avenue Church of Christ, where she was baptized. Ida later found purpose at Greater Harvest North Church while in Sherman, Texas. She was prayed into heaven by a community too great to count.
