Ida Mae Racklin at the age of 91 transitioned from this
world on September 30, 2022 at Lake Wood Nursing Home in Muskegon,
Michigan. Ida Mae was born September 20,
1931 in Summerville (laSalle Parish), LA.
She was the first daughter of Beulah and Foster Taylor Williams. Ida Mae attended Haynesville Public School
and joined Mount Zion Baptist church of Haynesville Louisiana at an early age.
Ida Mae moved to Michigan in the early 60s to be with her
brother and his family, never having children of her own, she greatly loved her
nephew and niece. Ida Mae was a lover of
animals and was known to take in a stray or two. She enjoyed fishing, traveling south with her
brother, and playing numbers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a sister Margene Nelle
(Bobby) Bradshaw, Bernice Louisiana; a devoted nephew Elton Williams, Muskegon,
Michigan, 2 nieces, Fanny Mae Williams, Muskegon, Michigan; Kathy Hill,
Bernice, Louisiana; along with a host of loving great nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Ida Mae was preceded in death by her husband Willie Racklin,
Mother Beulah McLaurin, Father Foster Taylor Williams, Brother Selton Williams,
and Beloved Sister-in-law Jessie Lee Williams
