Jacqueline “Jackie” Gatlin, 55, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on November 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Tylertown, Mississippi, but raised in Grand Rapids, MI. Jackie was known everywhere she went for her bright spirit, her humor, and the way she made people feel seen. She had a personality that drew people in—warm, welcoming, and unforgettable. Whether you met her once or knew her your whole life, she left an imprint.
Jackie’s greatest passion in this world was pouring love into her children, Briana and Eric. She dedicated her life to giving her son and daughter more love than they ever knew what to do with. Being their mom was her proudest role. She found joy in the small things too—dancing whenever she heard a beat, and singing her heart out even if she didn’t always hit the right notes. Her laughter during those off-key songs will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her.
Jackie leaves behind a family who cherished her deeply: her son Eric (LeAsia); and daughter Briana; her mother, Alice; her father, Clarence; her sister, Mieshay; her brother, Anthony; her beloved nieces and nephews; her precious grandbabies, Aden, Lilyanna and Azariah; and countless friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
Jackie’s legacy is love—loud, generous, and endless. She will be missed more than words can ever express, but her spirit will continue through everyone who carries a piece of her in their heart.
