Jamichael Whitley Life Story

 

Jamichael O'neal Whitley Known as "J DUB" was born August 1. 1990 to Varnell Whitley and Jackie Taylor in Grand Rapids. MI. As a young child Jamichael attended the Church of God Pentecostal under the Leadership of Bishop Roosevelt Beville. 

Jamichael attended Grand Rapids Public Schools Jamichael was a kind hearted and very generous. He was always willing to help someone if he can. He was the type of person that would give you anything he had if it meant he could help someone else out. JDUB LOVED TO LAUGH, spend time with his family. He was very close with his favorite First cousins they are known as the Top 5 it was JDUB, D Mike, D Spice, Tank and PeeWee. They have an unbreakable bond. As a child Jamichael enjoyed sports he played basketball. he enjoyed watching wrestling and swimming. 

Jamichael had a love for cooking. His favorite things to cook were tacos and egg rolls.

Jamichael grew up in the Campau Projects until the age of 6. In 1996 his Mother bought a house in the 1200 Block of Cass street. Jamichael also grew up on Putnam street where he also lived with his dad where his parents shared in raising him. It was within these two neighborhoods where he met and developed bonds with many of his friends. 

In 2012. Jamichael had his One and Only Daughter who he affectionately called (Bae Baе). Janell Whitley with the mother of his child Cashmere Torres. Jamichael loved his daughter and named her after his late sister Janelle. Jamichael and his daughter Janell have a special bond. Jamichael raised Janell from day one they lived together as he shared custody. For 13 years, he got to enjoy and cherish the times they had together. 

Jamichael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Leona & William Taylor, his paternal grandparents John Richer Couch & Louise Whitley. One sister Janelle Taylor. two brothers Varnell Jr. and Jermaine Lott, two uncles Frank Patterson & Tracy Taylor. One aunt Joyce Plair. two first cousins who he was extremely close with Damichael Taylor & Davonteiona Taylor. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving Mother Jackie Taylor. his Father Varnell Whitley, his Daughter Janelle Whitley, 11 Sibling Emeshia Taylor, of Grand Rapids MI. Chanell Miller of Ohio. Michelle Miller of Chicago. Malcolm Peak. Brianna Lott. Jeff Lott. Denzel Maze, Trent Sutton. Dennis James and Emario Taylor all of Grand Rapids. MI. He also leaves to cherish his memory his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His extended family Angie and Manuel. Best friend Dominique Long. Special cousin Princess Luckette. Marion Gray and Special friends Gary Phillips, Latishya White and Ashanti Belcher as well as many more friends.
