God Saw You Getting Tired
God Saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you and whispered,
"Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best,
Jane Elaine Duenas-Perry was born on June 25 1950 in the city of Hoogkerk in the Providence of Gorningen, Netherlands to Jacob Rietsema and Tina Gritter.
On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, Janny, as those who loved her most called her, lost her battle with breast cancer and transitioned into her glory with her heavenly Father. Janny was preceded in death by both of her parents, Jacob and Tina and a host of many relatives back in the Netherlands.
Janny worked many years in the restaurant industry, as she loved to take care of people. That love led her later in life to find her true passion, working with the mentally disabled. Janny ran an AFC home for many years until she became too ill to do so,.
Those who knew Janny knew she was always willing to cook you a meal and would be willing to help you in any way she could. But most importantly, everyone knew the love she had for her boys and her grandkids was beyond measure.
Janny leaves to cherish her two sons; Shaine Perry (Kandi Katerberg), Jeffrey (Sana) Perry, all of Grand Rapids, MI. Her beloved grandchildren, Shaine Perry II (Isabella Zamparripa); Kodie Perry, Alayna Schouw, Jeffrey Perry Jr, Jordan Perry, Ja'Mikal Schouw, Lia-Rose Perry, Amius Perry and James Perry. She also leaves five siblings; Hilda Frazier, Tina (Clair) Holstege, Klass (Cathy) Rietsema all of Grand Rapids, MI, Wilhelmina Rietsema of Denver, CO and John (Teresa) Rietsema of Grand Rapids, MI. Janny will also be missed by Heather Mills (mother of Shaine II and Kodie) of Grand Rapids, MI and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
