Louis Eric Bailey

Louis Eric Bailey (also known as PL12) was born February 23, 1984  in Muskegon, Michigan. The family moved to Spring Lake, Michigan in 2000.  After relocating, Eric continued to attended Orchard View Public Schools and was a member of the graduating

class of  2001. As an adult he made Muskegon Heights, Michigan his permanent home.

The first love of his life was his family.  He reached out to many daily to say hello and to make sure they were well. The second love of his life was music.  He was a self-taught Music Producer that sampled and built tracks from scratch.  He had a unique production style that made him a standout in the industry. He has worked with numerous well known artists and on various music projects which include: Bennie Sigel, Dribble2, Paul Cain, Nappy Roots, Scotty ATL, Mr. Don Trip, Six 3, Dorrough, Travis Porter, Robert Roundtree (Big Rob of 103.7), 1204, Ball is Life, NBA 2K22 and more.  He has been featured in several national magazines which include Soul Train and XXL. He recently scored the music for two Hollywood produced movies.  He also occasionally played guitar for Solid Rock Church and Revival Miracle Temple. In his leisure he enjoyed taking the family to the area parks and beaches, fishing and playing NBA 2K.

Louis passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 10, 2022. He had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed.

To cherish his memory he leaves: his parents, Grace (Norris) Ellis, Louis (Pharquiette) Churchwell, four children; Samai’ya, Louis, Jr., Braylen and Reese; his significant other, Willetta Sharp; siblings: Emily Camille and Norris Lavar Ellis, Taushuna (Avery) Burrel, Takarri Churchwell, Joseph Riley, Paris Thomas and Bobby Miller; Aunts: Tanya Phillips, Rhonda Spann, Elaine Jewett, Allie Matthews, Betty Ellis, Rosie Jones, Hedy Churchwell, Jackie Churchwell, Carrie (Richard) Haver, Gwen (Willie) Butts, Mettazzee Paige and Nikki Paige; Uncles, Brian (Oneata) Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Tony Bailey, Roy (Katherine) Ellis, David (Felicia) Ellis, Curtis (Gwen) Smith, Roger Lee Smith, George, Calvin, Lonnie and John Churchwell, Richard Paige and Gregory Johnson; special cousins, Tiffany and Andrea Bailey, Brianna Johnson, Michael, Lauren Phillips-Zoungrana, and Christopher Phillips, Miranda, Cameron and Marcus (Monique) Bailey, Gabrielle (Kevin) Hydorn, Alexis (Eron) Lauchie, Brittany Bailey, Cedrick Brown and numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family members and friends, each who knew the special place they held in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Augustus, Joseph Augustus

and Melvin Bailey, paternal grandparents, Calvin and Katherine Churchwell, special uncles, Pastor Wendell Bailey and Michael Phillips.
