Macquilene “Mac” Brown was born August 15, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama to Oillie Mae Brown (Smith) and Oillie Smith, Sr. Macquilene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she was funny and the life of the party. Mac was loved by many, to know her was to love her. Everyone had a special place in her heart and she also kept it real. Macquilene worked many years at the Veterans Home where she retired from. Macquilene was the oldest of twelve siblings: Willie Mae (Charlie) Myles of Chicago, IL; Sherrie and Karin Smith of Grand Rapids, MI; Tamara Hamilton of Pensacola, FL and Manuel Smith, Sr. of Phoenix, AZ. She leaves to cherish two children: Keith and Sheila Brown. Macquilene was proceeded in death by her parents Oillie Mae Smith and Oillie Smith, Sr.; one sister, Leesther Johnson; brothers, Oillie Zeke, Jr.; James, Carl and Larry Smith; and Henry Lovelady (Hank). She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
