Melody W. Earle

Melody Waits Earle, age 73, passed away in Grand Rapids, MI on Wednesday January 19, 2022.

Melody was born April 14, 1948, in Houston, Texas to J.W. and Lola B. Waits. Melody retired from the Fort Worth Independent School District as a Home Economics teacher.

Melody was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John Waits, Jr. and Finis Waits, and her beloved husband of almost 53 years Howard C. Earle, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy a devoted son, Howard, Jr. (K’Sandra); loving grandchildren, Zachary Hayden, Dylan Camille, and Natalie Karynne, one brother, Donald Waits (Doris), and three sisters, Mary Sue Barner (Dr. Earl E.), Nora Willis, and Peggy Alexander (Kyle Reed), one aunt, Jewelean Chess, four nieces, three nephews, and a host of cousins.  

Her life will be celebrated on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Grand Rapids, MI.  Family hour will begin at 10:00 a.m.
