On June 21st 1942, the sun rise brought forth Nobell to Arlis and Natha Lee Vines in Magnolia, Arkansas.
Village, Arkansas is where she received her high school diploma and In1961 graduated from Damascus High School. Nobell loved the name Novella, so she unofficially started using the name Novella.
Nobell came to Muskegon in 1964. While running to get out of the rain, she jumped into the passenger seat of a car whom she thought was her friend. It turned out to be a stranger who would later become her soul mate and her husband, Cottrell Malone Sr. They got married in 1965. Two daughters and a son were added through this union.
Nobell worked for 24 years as a nurse's assistant at Roosevelt Park Nursing Home where she enjoyed helping those in need. Her job would even call her on her days off because they knew she would come to help when shifts were low on staff.
Nobell was a dedicated Mother of her church, Mount Hermon Zion Baptist, under the leadership of the Late Rev. David McIntosh and later Rev. John L. Parker. She departed this life on Monday evening February 17th, 2025.
To share her memories are her two daughters, Katrina Malone of Cincinnati, OH, and Voncina Malone of Muskegon, MI. One son Cotrell Malone, Jr. and one daughter-in-law Linda Malone of Muskegon, MI. 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. One sister, Cathy Dumas of Los Angeles California and one brother, Howard Vines of Magnolia, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family & friends.
Nobell is preceded in eternity by her husband and her parents. Nobell's love will live on in the hearts and memories of those she touched.
