Rafiq Waris Rogers, passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2023 in Muskegon, MI. He was only 45 years old. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Rafiq was born on October 25, 1977 to the union of Frederick and Marilyn Rogers in Muskegon, MI. After Rafiq graduated from Muskegon High School in 1995, he attended Michigan State University.
Rafiq is survived by his mother Marilyn Rogers. Forever remembered by his brothers and sisters Ruqaiyah (53), Hakeem (50), Safiya (47), Aqueelah (42), Abdur-Rahim (39), and Daa'iyah (36). Niece and Nephew Marilyn & Gerald.
He is also forever loved and remembered by his close cousins Calvin, William, and Sharonda Bankhead, as well a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Rafiq was preceded in death by his father Frederick Rogers, his older sister Elisha Rogers, his Grandfather Murray Greer, Great Grandmother Lillie Bell Rogers, Maternal Grandmother Wilma Greer and his Grandmother Lillie Bell Hicks.
Rafiq was fun-spirited and took on many passions, one of which included the symphonic orchestra where he played the cello.
