Rev. Charles W. Jackson, age 83, a beloved figure of Muskegon, Michigan, sadly left our world on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, after a life richly lived in service, faith and kindness. Known for his gentle and compassionate, yet firm spirit, Charles was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through the lens of a servant leader as a police officer for the City of Muskegon Heights, and then being called to the ministry in 2006. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Robert Lee and Katie (Jamison) Jackson, and brother Freddy Lee Jackson. He leaves a legacy through his wife Betty L. Jackson, son Byron Keith, and daughters Ayesha Danielle and Tamara Lynette. Rev. Jackson’s memory will be a guiding star for all who knew him. In remembrance, a visitation will take place on Friday, November 1st, 2024, from 5-7pm at Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, 11am, at Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church, where we will honor Charles’s enduring impact on our community and hearts.
