Life Story

Sarah Nadine Poellnitz was born March 7, 1934, in Columbus, Mississippi to Blummie and JohnAlice Walton. Sarah had three siblings: Mary Strawbridge, Bertha Johnson, and Willie Matt Walton. They all preceded her in death. Sarah attended Union Academy High school in Columbus, Ms. At a young age she married Willie Mack Adams and to this union three children were born:  Carl Adams (Hazel Adams) who has made his transition, Alice Brenda Faye Adams (Phillip Coleman, Jr.), and Larry Darnell Adams (Jeannette Temple, fiancé). After the death of her husband, she married Gus Stewart. Later in life she married Al Poellnitz who also preceded her in death.

Sarah wore many career hats during her life. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist for many years. She retired from Northrop Gunman in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. After retirement she began a career as a CNA at Aperion nursing center where she worked until she became disabled.

She leaves to mourn her passing, two children, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, five nephews one niece, and a number of great nieces and nephews.

Sarah had three special friends who she loved dearly: Mona Poellnitz, Grace, and Barbara.
