Yvonne Salisbury was born in Muskegon, Michigan and has lived in many locations throughout her life. She married Lester Keith Salisbury whom she met while serving in the United States Navy. They traveled to many locations as Mr. Salisbury served in the United States Navy until his retirement.
Yvonne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in California after receiving her LPN Certificate. When she returned to Muskegon, she obtained a degree in Respiratory Therapy and made that her profession serving at many medical facilities in Michigan. Education was very important to her and attended Muskegon Community College for many classes, earning an Associate of Arts degree.
Mrs. Salisbury was active with many service organizations including assisting the homeless population with their needs, such as food distribution, laundry and personal care distribution.
She is survived by her Grandson, Jarrisson Salisbury, Great Grandson Roland Salisbury, Sisters Emogene Crampton, Bernadene Crampton and Darlene Loney; brothers Edward Crampton and Steven Kequom, many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Salisbury is proceeded in death by her husband, Lester Keith Salisbury, Sr and son, Lester Keith Salisbury, Jr., parents: Frank Crampton and Mamie Bailey Kequom; Sisters Arlene Wabindato, Karolene Frees, Kathleen Franklin and Jean Mamie Waite; brother Frank Crampton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Paradise Banquette Hall in Muskegon, Michigan on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 3:00 P.M.
